DLI Creates Seal of Approval Masterminds Group

LAUREL, Md. — The Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI) expanded its Seal of Approval program to include the Masterminds Group. The creation of the group is an effort to unite Seal of Approval cleaners in a management group-style forum where they can share success stories and foster excellence among participating cleaners.

LCI’s Fall Meeting A Success

CHICAGO — Affiliates of Leading Cleaners Internationale (LCI), a consortium of high-end operators, came together recently in Chicago for an in-depth educational meeting.

This fall program brought LCI affiliates to the Windy City from throughout North America for ongoing development of ownership skills. LCI executive coordinator Barry Gershenson welcomed members and guests to the two-and-a-half-day meeting.

LONG BEACH, Calif. — It was a hot, humid August in most of the U.S., but everyone at Fabricare 2010 in Long Beach, Calif., seemed cool, calm and collected. Held every two years by the California Cleaners Association (CCA), the show benefited from unusually pleasant weather, even for Southern California.

SPOT Business Systems Opens New Customer-Service Support Center

DRAPER, Utah — SPOT Business Systems has opened a new customer-service support center in Draper, Utah. This 2,000-square-foot facility effectively doubles the total future capacity for technical-support service personnel, the company says.
