Wire Survey: Most Cleaners Gave to Charity in '06

The vast majority of drycleaners gave to charity last year, according to the most recent Wire survey, with 96.2% donating “to local, national and international causes and charities” through their businesses.

More than two-thirds of the respondents donated money and services, while 15.4% of respondents gave money exclusively, and 11.5% donated services. The top motivation to give was “To encourage goodwill in the community” with 58.3%, followed closely by “Out of kindness or a sense of obligation” (54.2%).
